The article is devoted to the analysis of the main components of The Battle Talas/Atlakh in 751, in which the combined
military forces of the Arabs and the Karluk Turks defeated the Chinese army of the Tang Empire. This historic battle defined
a new political order in Central Asia and terminated of China's military expansion. A comparative analysis of written sources
of Arabic and Chinese origin published by scholars is presented. It is proposed to consider the territory of the Talas military
campaign as a «landscape of warfare conflict». The author's map of the reconstruction of the routes of the Arab and Chinese
troops and the battle field was created on the basis of this methodological provision. Defining the landscape of a warfare
conflict is a way to thoroughly study this event in the history of Central Asia. The memorialization of the Talas battle field will
allow it to be included in the protected area for use in enlightening, educational and tourist purposes.
