Relationship between Author and Publisher

The relationship between the Author and the Publisher of the Journal is governed by these terms and conditions:

1. The Journal does not charge fees for submission, processing, and publication of articles. Publishing articles in the Journal is free. No royalties are paid.
2. By sending an agreement to the Editor, the Author (including when he/she acts on behalf of the co-authors) by default creates a public offer agreement with the Publisher which means full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of publication and regulates the copyright relationship between the Author and the Publisher. The unspecified terms are subject to additional agreements.
3. The Editor of the Journal follows the copyright law of the Republic of Kazakhstan and relevant international agreements. The Author is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions to publish materials used in the article. The confirmation of the rights to use materials for publication is recorded in the agreement with the Author.
4. By sending an article to the editorial office of the Journal, the Author (including co-authors), free of charge, transfers to the Publisher, for the duration of the copyright provided by the current registration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a non-exclusive right to use the scholarly work created by the Author, both in printed and electronic form, namely the following rights:

• Reproduction of the scholarly work (publication, promulgation, duplication, circulation, or other reproduction of the article) in the “Qazaq Historical Review” with a circulation limit of its printed version — 1000 copies of the corresponding issue of the Journal but without time limits for the article or Journal in an electronic version.
• Free distribution of the article or its part(s) (metadata) on any medium throughout the world as a separate work and/or as a part of the Journal (its printed and/or electronic version) and/or in databases of the Publisher or other persons, at the discretion of the Publisher of the “Qazaq Historical Review”.
• Storage, processing, and use of metadata (title, publication, name, surname, patronymic of the Author(s) (copyright holder(s)), summaries, bibliographic materials, etc.) of the article by distributing and making it available to the public, processing, and systematisation, as well as inclusion in various databases and information systems, including those with limited (paid) access.

The “Qazaq Historical Review” may grant the third parties the right to republish with permission of the Author of the relevant material. If the Author refuses to give such permission, then the Editor of the Journal acts according to the Author’s decision.

The territory in which the rights to the article may be used is not limited.

The Publisher does not have the right to make changes to the conditions of publication in the Journal unilaterally.
